How I Became a "Mensch" (After Feminism Stole My Identity)

When I was 21 years old, and living in Israel, I received a letter from my mother. She had taken my savings and invested in a town house.
"Now, you are a mensch," she said.
I wondered what she meant.
How did owning a house make me "a man?" I wanted to be defined by my character, not by my property.
I came of age at a time when youth was "looking for identity." I was searching for it in Israel. Later, I became a Canadian nationalist. In each case, I didn't find identity in "community."
I had a strong patriarchal father, an excellent role model. He built a successful career, and supported a family. "Work is the backbone of a man," he would tell me. "It's the most important decision a man makes. A wife is the second most important."
But for some reason, his example didn't register. Why didn't it?
For centuries men have defined their identities in terms of masculinity. Why was I so clueless?
I was a feminist.
ATTACK ON GENDER AND FAMILY
I grew up in an era that has bought the feminist lie that men and women are identical. In our culture, women are encouraged to do everything men do, and vice versa. I believe in equal opportunity but I mistook "equal" for "identical", and this retarded my personal development by 25 years. I doubt if I am alone.
"Identical" made me look for myself in a mate. I was literally attracted to lithe young women with cropped boyish haircuts: my own persona.
Thus, I put a woman on a pedestal because she had my identity. She could give it back to me. Some women were immediately repelled. Others enjoyed the adulation for a while, but eventually lost respect.
What I needed was someone quite different from me, my feminine complement.
Eventually feminism will be recognized for what it is: a virulently anti social, anti-feminine, anti heterosexual ideology that has achieved extraordinary power by pretending to champion women's rights. By fooling society, they have been able to enact policies which emasculate men and encourage women to become masculine. In other words, women have usurped the masculine identity, and in the process, both sexes have lost their own.
Unbelievably, the destruction of heterosexuality is the stated goal of feminists who believe gender difference is not only unnatural but also the source of all injustice. Most people don't realize that the current feminist movement is an anachronism from the Cold War and the Marxist revolutionary sixties.
Most of the leading feminist thinkers, including Betty Friedan and Simone de Beauvoir, have been Marxists, and many have also been lesbians. But they would not have succeeded if they had been up front about their bizarre revolutionary goal, which is to destroy healthy heterosexual behavior and the family.
Feminism is about power not choice. "No women should be authorized to stay at home and raise her children," said feminist founder Simone de Beauvoir. "Women should not have that choice, because if there is such a choice, too many women will make that one" (Saturday Review, June 14, 1975). If feminism were really about choices, it would not indoctrinate women to enter the work force and become "independent." It would not demonize men and heterosexual love.
Feminism is essentially a lesbian movement in the sense that lesbians have always been women who coveted the male role. It is based on Marxist notions of "equality" and class conflict that have been discredited and rejected, notions that have no relevance to a mystical and biological reality such as love.
The breakdown in the traditional family caused by feminism, is quite simply, the main reason for our social, personal and existential problems. People have always derived their primary meaning and purpose from familial roles (e.g. daughter, wife, and mother) and from the life-cycle rituals, (marriage, birth and death). Indeed, marriage and family are a God-given Path to achieve love and personal fulfillment.
We do not find wholeness by trying to incorporate masculine and feminine in ourselves but by uniting with our opposite. Heterosexual love is the attraction of opposites. Indeed, as heterosexuals we define themselves in terms of these differences. If we are male, we are not female, and vice-versa, like dark and light. Because I denied these differences, I didn't know who I was. I didn't understand women, and I didn't know how to relate to them.
RECLAIMING MASCULINITY
I was almost 50-years-old before I solved the riddle. A book "The Flight from Woman" (1964) by Karl Stern, a prominent Canadian psychiatrist, confirmed what my instincts were telling me. My mother had been right all along. A man makes the house; the woman makes the home.
According to Stern, masculinity is defined by "power" over the natural and social environment. Men provide the physical and cultural context for the private world of love. They are the do'ers: adventurers and builders, protectors and providers.
Femininity is defined by "loving relationships." Feminine psychology is founded on nurturing and loving husbands and children, and thereby being needed and loved in return. Women are the engines of love, acting much like the heart in the body. They create the family that is the fundamental building block of society and the foundry of the future.
Men define themselves by deeds; women simply are love: beauty, grace, faith and goodness. Men tend to be rational and objective; women subjective, intuitive and emotional. Distinctions like these need not constrict us. They are a theme upon which to play our own variations. For example, my wife mows the lawn; I do all the shopping and cooking. But without the theme, there is confusion and chaos.
The feminist gospel that traditional sex roles are "oppressive" is typical Marxist social subversion. For many people, a flexible interpretation of traditional roles may be essential for happiness and fulfillment.
I extrapolated from Karl Stern's distinctions. If man is motivated by power and woman by love, heterosexual love must be an exchange of the two.
A woman surrenders her power, in trust. This is how a woman expresses her love: by trusting. In this way, women actually empower men. If a man betrays this trust, he loses his power.
In return for her power, a woman gets what she really wants: a man's power expressed as his intense, undivided love.
He includes her in his sphere of self-interest: this is how two people become one. Her happiness is his happiness. He can't hurt her without hurting himself.
RECLAIMING FEMININITY
Teaching women to seek masculine power prevents them from getting what they really want.
Women want to be possessed by a man's love. God's love of Creation is mirrored in a man's love of a woman. A girlfriend once told me, "I want to be used." In a way, a man channels God's love to a woman by making her a wife and (possibly) a mother. Women want masculine power, but it must be in a man. The same girlfriend also said that without a man, she feels "like a rudderless boat." Similarly, a man without a woman is a rudder without a boat.
A man cannot love a woman who is competing with him for power. Relationships between so-called "equals" are like mergers, or roommates. One psychiatrist, Irene Claremont de Castillejo, calls them "brother-sister" marriages (Knowing Women: A Feminine Psychology, 1973). They cannot achieve the intimacy as when a woman surrenders her will to a man, and a man returns this trust with his wholehearted love.
Some psychiatrists say her sexual satisfaction is also linked to her ability to trust and surrender.
Feminine women are creatures of God. In love, they sacrifice their "selves" for love, which in many religions is the key to transcendence. Helen Deutsch remarked on this masochist-narcissist syndrome in her The Psychology of Women: A Psychoanalytic Interpretation (1944). The majority of women only achieve fulfillment as wives and mothers. In their hearts, they know it.
Nor can women love men with whom they compete. Women are hypergamous which means they seek men of higher status than themselves. Even the most ardent heterosexual feminist can only love someone more powerful than she.
The struggle for power is poisoning male-female relations. It is the death of love. Men cannot give up their defining characteristic and expect to be men. Women cannot criticize and challenge men and expect to have satisfying relationships. When I comprehended this, I felt liberated. I established a healthy relationship with a woman who is my female complement, and married her.
CONCLUSION
The universal complaint is that men no longer know how to be men; women don't know how to be women. It helps to see heterosexual love as a mystical dance. In a dance, the male leads, the female follows. You can't have a graceful dance without each partner playing his part.
The dance is based on love. The male is always considering his mate's wishes because he loves her. In some cases, he will ask her to lead. As in a ballroom dance, who can say which role is more important. Both partners are of equal value. The dance requires both the leadership and dynamism of the male; and the beauty, love and grace of the female. In the dance of love, two people become one, and the fruit of this mystical union, is often a child.

Students Have the Right Not to Remain Silent on the Day of Silence
The annual "Day of Silence," sponsored by the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network (GLSEN), will be celebrated in many public schools next week. This event encourages students to remain silent on April 25. GLSEN claims the event counteracts bullying, but it is merely promoting an anti-heterosexual viewpoint. Schools can teach students the value of respect without accepting GLSEN’s propaganda event. Many states, like Florida, for example, have laws that require abstinence-based education when sexuality is discussed. In those states the school cannot recognize the Day of Silence without promoting abstinence.
Liberty Counsel is encouraging students to mount a counter-celebration to promote a positive message of purity on the Day of Silence. Students are encouraged to wear white and to distribute flyers promoting sexual purity whenever other students are permitted to distribute literature promoting the Day of Silence. We have posted informational flyers and resources on our Day of Purity web site to promote abstinence. The flyers include information about relationships, STDs and related topics.
Some school administrators do not understand that students cannot be penalized for refusing to observe the Day of Silence. Here are some recent complaints Liberty Counsel has received:
Florida - A principal told a father that if his son was not at school on the Day of Silence that the boy would fail the school year. Indiana - A public school is participating in the Day of Silence against the wishes of some parents. Parents were told that it is "against the law" to cancel the program and that any absences would be unexcused that day. Iowa - A school board member told a former student that a student refusing to speak on the Day of Silence was not anymore disruptive in a school setting than a "Christian wearing a cross." Oklahoma - A high school graduate wrote to her former principal to protest the celebration of the Day of Silence. The principal said that if he did not allow the Day of Silence, he could not allow Bible clubs and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. South Dakota - A student was told that if she is absent on the Day of Silence, she must write a paper explaining why she will not participate.
Students are not required to participate in the Day of Silence. Parents who do not want their children exposed to GLSEN's anti-family agenda can choose to keep their children home. We have prepared a letter that explains that students can choose not to participate in the Day of Silence.

Please pray that students will be protected from forced indoctrination by GLSEN, especially next week, and that the truth will prevail.

What's the most nauseating nuance of the media orgasm over the Foley flap?
It has to be the "liberal Christian" pundits trying to use the story to argue that all opposition to sodomy is pure hypocrisy.
Their line of pseudo-reasoning goes: Congressman Mark Foley is a "family values" guy, a typical example of the Republican Party and the Christian Right. Now Foley has been caught exchanging dirty messages with teenage boys. Therefore--ta-dah!--everyone who stands for these "values" is a secret sod like Foley; and furthermore, the "values" themselves are wrong, and ought to be discarded ASAP.
I put "values" in quotes because what we're really talking about, or should be talking about, is the Biblical truth that homosexual behavior, or any other form of fornication or adultery, is an abomination to God.
And do you know what? Even if every single one of us who proclaims this teaching were to be exposed as a practicing pedophile, the teaching would still be true. If every one of us were to drop dead, it would still be true. It's not true because we say it is, but because God says so, in the Bible. As St. Paul put it, "yea, let God be true, but every man a liar" (Romans 3:4).
When we say soliciting sex from minors is evil, we're not merely expressing our personal opinion. We are saying something that is absolutely, non-negotiably true, independently of our personal moral status. It would be true no matter who said it.
There are other issues involved in the Foley fracas. Who, for instance, had Foley's private messages in his possession, and how did he get them? Why did he turn them over to the media, instead of to law enforcement? And how long did he wait until he did it?
It is impossible that only Republicans in the House of Representatives knew about Congressman Foley's misbehavior. So why did none of the Democrats in the House blow the whistle on him? Could it be that there are Democrat Congressmen who are in the same boat?
Then there's the outraged rug-chewing by the same media clowns who a week earlier were lionizing Jim McGreevy. And if you think Rep. Foley's cyber-conversations were lurid, turn on your computer and visit the websites of Planned Parenthood's "Teenwire" and Rutgers University's "Sex Etc." newsletter for teens. Both are used in public schools as sex education materials. And if you have a really strong stomach, see what the Massachusetts Dept. of Education presented to high school children in a 2000 "Teach-Out" conference at Tufts University--an event better known by its nickname, "Fistgate." Some of the kids in attendance were only 12 years old (see www.massnews.com). Nor should we omit to mention that the National Education Assn. this summer, at its national convention, announced that the number one priority for public schools in America is to teach children to support "gay marriage."
If there is such a thing as Foleyism, it saturates our whole society. It's in our news media, our movies, and commercials, in our public schools and universities, and even in our churches. Which is not to say most people practice it; but we've certainly done a good job of condoning it.
If the moral law does not come down from the mountain, written with the finger of God, it isn't moral law at all, but only someone's opinion. God gave us moral laws because He knew we couldn't generate our own. We'd only wind up changing them every time public opinion had another hiccup.
America's skin-deep, lukewarm, half-hearted Christianity is the root cause of Foleyism,
AMEN TO THAT,BEN FRANKLIN SAID, "A DEMOCRACY CAN ONLY STAND AMONG A MORAL PEOPLES", IS AMERICA MORAL? WELCOME TO OBAMA'S USSA
or whatever else you want to call it. Are the citizens in Mark Foley's district the only Americans who--some of them knowingly--elected an immoral man to public office? Wink-wink, nudge-nudge, say no more...
God's commandments stand for all time, and we ignore them at our peril. The bus of moral lawlessness stops at Foley Street. It will not take us to the Promised Land.

Unsafe at Any Grade
Homosexual activists are exploiting their agenda through "safe school" laws across the nation - and California is their latest laboratory.

It’s 1 o’clock in the morning and 27-year-old Lybe Crumpton is standing alone, shaking and on the verge of tears. No, she hasn’t been robbed. She’s a fifth-grade teacher who’s afraid her students might be harmed by the homosexual agenda.
A petite brunette with large brown eyes, she has just watched her school board approve the idea that classrooms like hers play a video called That’s A Family!, featuring 9- and 10-year-old children lauding the benefits of living with two moms or two dads.
“My dads are gay, and gay means . . . two men or two women love each other,” says one smiling girl in the video. “It’s sort of like having a mom and a dad love each other, just that it is a man and a man.”
But that’s not the worst of it. The video — which also portrays children of divorced, single and even jailed parents — comes with a teachers’ handbook including a crossword puzzle for elementary kids using words like “transgender” and discussion questions such as, “What did you learn from this video about families with gay parents? What else would you like to know?”
It was five hours ago that Crumpton slipped unnoticed into the back of the Novato, Calif., school board meeting and heard gay-rights activists warning the board it had better allow “tolerance” lessons like this video — or risk lawsuits.
That upsets Crumpton because she doesn’t think elementary-school kids are ready to discuss sexual lifestyles, especially one as physically and spiritually devastating as homosexuality.
“They’re not worried about who is sleeping with whom,” she says. “They worry about who’s the best at soccer.”
But after pro-gay activists and parents faced off over the video into the pre-dawn hours, the board voted to test the film in fifth-grade classes and consider introducing it to more grades next year.
“They are just opening a Pandora’s box,” Crumpton told Citizen moments after the vote.
Exploiting Danger
What’s happening in Novato, an affluent Bay-area suburb in Northern California, has become increasingly common across the nation as homosexual activists use “safe school” laws and concerns over school bullying to advance their agenda.
It works like this: First, homosexual activists tout “hate crimes” — those sad but rare incidents in which students are harmed because they are gay — and then they push for laws protecting homosexual students. Once those laws pass, activists persuade schools to adopt curricula that promotes not just student safety, but acceptance of homosexuality.
“Making schools safe . . . is strongly tied to ensuring that classrooms are inclusive of LGBT [lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender] themes,” said the Web site for one of the nation’s largest homosexual lobby groups — the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN).
GLSEN’s executive director, Kevin Jennings, made no secret of that strategy while extolling homosexual activists’ inroads into Massachusetts schools a few years ago.
“We immediately seized upon the opponents’ calling card — safety,” he said. “We knew that, confronted with real-life stories of youth who had suffered from homophobia, our opponents would automatically be on the defensive. . . . This allowed us to set the terms of the debate.”
So far the tactic is working; at least eight states have passed safe school laws to protect gay and lesbian students, and five more (including Florida and New York) are considering similar legislation.
But it’s California schools that have taken the lead.
Over the last two years, legislators in Sacramento have cranked out laws requiring curriculum to reflect “appreciation” of different sexual lifestyles and adding “sexual orientation” to school discrimination policies.
Those laws leave schools that resist homosexual pressure vulnerable to lawsuits, explained Jeff McAlpin, a Novato school board member who voted against pro-homosexual curriculum.
“The state of California has put us in a very difficult position,” he said. “We don’t have a choice in terms of providing protection [for homosexual rights], so then the question becomes how far do we go?
“It puts you at some level of risk if they can prove you didn’t have a safe environment.” And that risk has cast the door wide open to homosexual activists wielding the threat of lawsuits.
The Gay-Straight Alliance Network (GSA), for instance — a group that openly pushes for the normalization of homosexuality through student clubs — has issued a fact sheet urging activists to “think of AB 537 [a California safe school law] as a tool and use it as leverage to work to change the school climate.”
Apparently, members took their marching orders seriously.
After homosexual students in Visalia, Calif., complained of harassment, their district was punished with a federal court settlement under AB 537 that forced teachers to receive mandatory gay-rights training. This year, the district’s ninth-grade students also will attend court-ordered classes taught by the GSA.
While the case does not directly apply to Novato, said McAlpin, “It was clearly a shot across the bows of all school districts that [safe school laws] had an impact on one district . . . and other districts better be careful.”
‘Part of the Price’
If the California education system is the latest gay-rights laboratory, then the Hayward Unified School District is its most successful experiment.
Unlike Novato, with its Victorian homes and white picket fences, Hayward is an industrial town on the south side of the Bay filled with cinderblock buildings and windowless factories. But just like Novato, Christian teachers in Hayward feel forced to promote a political agenda.
“Our backs are against the wall,” said Matthew Freschi, a physical education teacher at Hayward High School. “We feel the need to step forward. Enough is enough.”
What pushed Freschi into action was the “2-4-6-8 Are you sure you’re really straight?” sign he discovered on his gymnasium door, as well as the staff meeting he attended at which teachers were encouraged to assign students library books about homosexuals. Both incidents were billed as the school’s effort to foster safety for gay and lesbian students.
“I agree that no student should be abused or battered for any reason,” Freschi said, “but to me that’s not protecting anybody; that’s promoting something.”
Indeed, Hayward is the perfect case study of how safe school laws create special privileges for some and oppression for others.
Just ask Monica Manriquez, a Spanish teacher who had her pay docked last year for refusing to attend a seminar endorsing homosexuality.
When Hayward school officials ordered teachers to attend “sensitivity” training on April 8, Manriquez and three colleagues at Tennyson High School requested permission to opt out.
“We didn’t want to sit and be indoctrinated for four hours,” said Manriquez, who’d already suffered through previous sensitivity sessions. “I have no problem with being sensitive, but what they mean by that is that we have to be pro-gay in our classrooms.”
After the principal denied their request, the teachers sought help from the Pacific Justice Institute, a Sacramento-based Christian legal organization, which argued that civil-rights laws protect religious freedom in the workplace.
But school officials claimed safe school laws trumped those rights, in a letter stating that “the District has an obligation to ensure that its employees are properly trained in applicable law.” A few days later, the teachers received notice their pay would be docked for missing half a day.
“These teachers offered to work [in their classroom], so the issue was not their willingness to work,” said Brad Dacus, chief counsel for the institute. “The issue was the intolerance of the school district . . . that would force teachers to compromise their convictions as Christians.”
That wasn’t the end of their troubles. Dubbed “The Tennyson Four” by media, the teachers were derided in local newspapers and ostracized at work. “These four teachers are out of touch with the standards of our community,” wrote the Hayward Daily Review in an editorial. “It’s possible that some public school students in Hayward are being assigned to a teacher who hates them. . . . Their human rights should outweigh teachers’ ‘religious rights.’ ”
“Nobody would talk to us for a while,” added Manriquez. “But that’s part of the price.”
As the Hayward school district quietly trampled on religious freedom, it drew national attention for a resolution granting homosexual teachers the right to declare their homosexuality “without fear of reprisal” and bring up homosexual relationships in class without parental consent.
Once again waiving the safe school banner, the April 10 resolution asserted that a “crisis exists in Hayward” and called for “ongoing sensitivity training” and curriculum that provides “positive images of GLBT [gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender] people in the classroom.”
In a newspaper interview, Tennyson drama teacher Kelsey Hartman expressed relief that she could now talk about her lesbianism and have students read a play featuring two women falling in love without fear of punishment: “Now I know we have support,” she said. “If I’m ashamed, it shows the students there’s something wrong with it.”
But Christian teachers don’t have the same protection. At previous sensitivity seminars, Manriquez said she was told “our religion is not to be brought up. We are to talk about our culture, but not our religion.”
Courage Under Fire
Another Christian teacher who did attend the April 8 training, Cynthia Huggett, says Manriquez was right to stay away.
When Huggett arrived, the first thing she saw was a display of newspaper articles about The Tennyson Four. “There was a lot of negativity toward them,” Huggett remembered. “I heard comments . . . like they couldn’t understand why those teachers couldn’t be here. . . . What’s their problem?
“I was kind of wondering myself, well, why are these four people refusing to go?”
She soon found out. During sessions led by educators from area schools, religion was constantly ridiculed, said Huggett. In a seminar video called Teaching Respect, for instance, a presenter matter-of-factly listed people homosexual students could go to for help, including parents and teachers, but when he got to the word “pastor,” he stopped.
“He paused, and he looked at the audience to get a laugh out of it like, ‘Right . . . Christians hate gays.’ . . . If anything it would be somebody that they would not trust. That was the gist of it,” said Huggett, a Tennyson math teacher. She recalled her shock when other teachers laughed:
“I was thinking, ‘Why are they laughing? Here this was called ‘sensitivity’ awareness. . . . It reminded me of Polish jokes, Jewish jokes. First you start with joking, you break the ice by saying we can make fun of these people now.”
According to Huggett and others interviewed by Citizen, the video also claimed that biblical references about Jesus sitting at the right hand of God were used to discriminate against left-handed people.
“They used Scripture to point out the fact that . . . Christians have a history from the beginning of bashing homosexuality and people who are different because God said so,” said Huggett. “I thought, ‘How dare you say I can’t stand up and talk to my kids about what I believe and bring out the Bible, but you can go ahead for your purposes and actually misquote [the Bible]?’ ”
By the time the lunch break rolled around, Huggett was too distraught to stay, so she sought comfort at home in a daily devotional book. To her surprise, Hebrews 12:2, a verse that describes Jesus sitting at the right hand of God, was referenced on that day’s page.
“To come home and see it in my journal . . . it was one of those moments in my Christian walk that I felt was the closest thing to God just opening his mouth and talking to me,” Huggett said. “It was like, ‘Yes Cindy, you are right. . . . You see what’s going on. You see the evil in it. You understand it. And I’m going to let you know by Scripture.’ ”
Emboldened, she spoke her mind a few days later at a faculty meeting.
“I strongly feel that if I don’t say something, this will continue and Christians will be bashed again and again,” she told Citizen. “And I’m not going to let that happen. I will not stay here if that is going to happen. I will lose my job and wash dishes if I have to.”
Cinderfella?
So what does coercing Christian teachers into attending seminars that belittle their religion have to do with teaching homosexuality to kids? The answer is simple: To advance their cause, homosexual activists must first undermine beliefs that categorize right and wrong behavior.
“We’ve seen the same pattern emerge over and over,” said Scott Lively, who as director of the Pro-Family Law Center has tracked homosexual infiltration into Vermont, Oregon and Massachusetts school districts. “The gay agenda is first pushed to teachers, then they are trained how to get it in the classroom. They are being trained that it is acceptable, even expected, to trample on the private beliefs and values of the students in their care.”
Citizen obtained handouts from the Hayward sensitivity seminars over the past two years that illustrate this agenda. A “What You Can Do” list distributed at one of this year’s seminars, for instance, suggested that teachers “say the words often — lesbian, gay, bisexual — in a positive way” and “identify gay, lesbian, bisexual contributors throughout the curriculum.”
Another handout encouraged schools to “bring in openly gay, lesbian, bisexual adults as resources in classes and assemblies” and identify staff who “are gay-friendly and to whom questioning students may go for advice.”
Demonstrating blatant disregard for parental control, yet another page entitled “If a Student Comes Out to You” told teachers “if trust and openness exist, sexual behavior could also be addressed.”
For teachers in need of more indoctrination tools, a “Resources” list distributed at a 2001 seminar recommended several gay-rights curricula, including “Preventing Prejudice: Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Lesson Plans for Elementary Schools.”
A copy of “Preventing Prejudice” obtained by Citizen includes a lesson plan for first- and second-graders entitled “Who Loves Whom? LGBT Relationships.” The plan encourages teachers to introduce the lesson on Valentine’s Day “to broaden the definition of love that is associated with that holiday” and to “ask students to rewrite stories that involve heterosexual relationships, e.g., fairy tales like Cinderella, substituting LGBT relationships.”
A kindergarten lesson included in the same curriculum called “Jesse’s Dream Skirt” tells a story about a little boy who is praised for wearing a dress to school.
According to Hayward district spokesperson Kim Hammond, those lesson plans, as well as books like Heather Has Two Mommies, are “available to all staff in the district.”
“What disturbs me most,” said Huggett, “is that once you say this should be part of our curriculum, [teachers] will have to appear to believe that homosexuality is a normal, healthy lifestyle.”
Given the pressure on teachers, the only hope for public education is parental outrage, said one East Bay-area administrator who spoke to Citizen on the condition of anonymity:
“There will be no resistance [to pro-homosexual curriculum] from within the system, from the administration. There might be individual teachers who object, but the union is lock-stock in step with this. As a matter of fact, much of the leadership is controlled by these people anyway.”
When his school had a gay-pride day, there wasn’t a peep of protest, the administrator said. “If the phones were ringing off the hooks the day after they did that . . . saying, ‘How dare you?’ believe me, it would have empowered the staff to say, ‘You know this is really taking things too far.’ But the great masses just seem to be, I don’t know, asleep.”
Signs of Hope
Back in Novato, though, there are signs parents are waking up.
“When they talk about doing this to my kid behind my back, it ticks me off. It really makes my blood boil and I can’t just sit back and say nothing,” said 33-year-old Susan Barnes, who said she’ll remove her second-grader from public school if homosexual curriculum is adopted.
To prevent that from happening, Barnes and other concerned parents formed the First Educators Alliance (FEA).
Each FEA parent commits to attend at least one monthly school board meeting. “Lack of presence is the reason they’ve been able to get away with this stuff over all these years,” said FEA representative, grandmother-of-nine Sara Lockwood.
It was at one of those board meetings that parents discovered the district’s plans to test That’s A Family! in grades 4-8 and adopt it the following year. So FEA launched a letter-writing campaign and the “Street Corner Ministry”: Novato moms who distribute information from sidewalks about the gay agenda’s inroads into the classroom.
The weekend before the board voted on That’s A Family!, mother-of-three Vanessa Wills spent her Saturday in front of a grocery store. “Almost every parent I talked to,” she told Citizen, “whether or not they agreed with the homosexual lifestyle, said the same thing: This is something that should be taught in home, not in the classroom.”
Meanwhile, another group of parents joined forces to protect their quickly eroding parental rights. Calling themselves the Novato Parents and Family Coalition, they circulated a petition calling for parental control over how sexual lifestyles are addressed in the classroom — and collected more than 1,200 signatures in just three weeks.
“When this agenda came to town, it was moral anthrax,” said one petition collector, Edison Fowler, whose wife is a first-grade teacher. “I saw them giving it to kids and nobody could see it, nobody knew it existed. . . . It’s that serious.
“On the news you heard about people dying, and how they’d spend millions of dollars going through with gloves and sterile [equipment] to make sure nobody else got hurt. I thought, ‘We need to be that meticulous and that caring about what they are presenting to the hearts of children.’ Because once it goes in, it’s hidden. It’s undetectable, yet it continues to work.”
Of the 1,200 people surveyed, said Fowler, only 7 percent knew about the upcoming curriculum vote.
But by the time the school board met on Aug. 20, grassroots groups had changed that percentage.
The meeting attracted a standing-room-only crowd of 300. And after five hours of public comments (the majority against the video), it was clear board members couldn’t test the video in four grade levels without serious political consequences. So they voted instead to introduce it only in fifth-grade “Family Life” sex education classes, which already have an “opt-out” option for parents who don’t want their children to attend.
Though the video will still be seen by some students, getting it acknowledged for what it is — a lesson about sex, not “tolerance” — was an important win, said Pro-Family Law Center Director Scott Lively, because “the gay movement has taken a nearly universal goal among teachers and parents for students to be civil to one another and wrapped their own agenda in it.
“They say that the only way students can respect each other is if they say homosexuality is good and normal.”
But semantics meant little to fifth-grade teacher Lybe Crumpton, who still didn’t want to teach something that contradicted her Christian beliefs. So she confronted her principal.
“I waited until lunch because I had to psych myself up all morning,” she told Citizen. “By the time I went in, I had come to the conclusion that if I lost my job over it, that was fine.
“I said that I couldn’t in good faith or good conscience teach that curriculum to children.”
For now, the principal has agreed to let her opt out since it is a pilot program, said Crumpton. But if it becomes core curriculum, there’ll be no choice for Crumpton. There will be a choice for Christian parents, though — to continue fighting for truly safe schools free of homosexual indoctrination.

Report of sex in kindergarten investigated

Harrisburg School District and county authorities are investigating allegations that a 5-year-old kindergarten girl performed oral sex on a male classmate in school last week.
City spokesman Randy King said the incident took place Nov. 15 in a classroom at Melrose Elementary School.
It wasn't clear yesterday where the teacher was at the time. She left a memo for the principal detailing the incident before she went on leave earlier this week and has yet to be interviewed. King said the teacher has a terminally ill relative and is out of town.
District officials learned of the incident after a classmate told her mother last weekend. The mother notified school district officials Monday, and they immediately launched an investigation.
Harrisburg police have turned the matter over to county social service agencies because of the age of the children.
There will be no criminal charges, King said, because of the children's age and because the act was not forced.
"However, Children and Youth Services will be investigating the matter," King said. "Children of this age who engage in such conduct don't necessarily get this from television."
The boy's mother contacted the news media yesterday, saying the school district was being unresponsive to her inquiries about the incident.
The mother, whose name is being withheld by The Patriot-News to protect the identity of the child, said that when the girl who performed the act was questioned, she admitted she had done it.
The mother said she wasn't immediately notified, and after she was, district officials told her the matter had been turned over to Dauphin County Children and Youth, told her to get her son counseling and refused to discuss it further.
She said she is concerned for her son as well as the girl, because she feels a child exhibiting such behavior may be being abused.
"This isn't kids fighting or cutting up in school," the mother said. "This is a serious matter."
District solicitor Nate Waters said that while the incident has been turned over to social service agencies, it is still not clear exactly what happened.
"Nobody that I have talked to has assured me that these things have happened," Waters said. "We don't want to keep on moving on with hearsay from 5-year-olds. We're currently attempting to contact the teacher and get some answers."
Waters said he doesn't doubt the incident took place.
"We're trying not to sensationalize 5-year-olds having sex," Waters said. "We don't want to alarm people who have 5-year-olds in classes all over the city.

You can't fight the school system. It doesn't work that way anymore.
Parents need to start homeschooling. It is the only way we'll be able to raise a generation of kids that have a moral background.

By the time I went in, I had come to the conclusion that if I lost my job over it, that was fine.
It's infuriating to see the extortion that school districts use to push these perverse agendas on our kids. The moral conflict pushed on the teachers finally causes one to come to the end of the road and decide what their human values are worth. Do they become hypocrits and side with the homosexual lobby and teach this stuff; or do as this brave teacher did and stick with their spiritual convictions and tell the educational system to stick it.
I know it's very unlikely, but if enough teachers did this;and parents withdrew their children for homeschooling, perhaps things might change.

But if it becomes core curriculum, there’ll be no choice for Crumpton.
No, it is not okay if they lose their jobs. Any teaching space vacated by a departing moral Christian teacher might be filled by someone who is either openly homosexual or simply tolerant of the homosexual indoctrination. I hope the good teachers can withstand the intimidation.
Public schools are still the source of education/indoctrination for most students, and each teacher gets 30-200 students per year, so it is important for the next generation that the right people are the teachers.
Public schools in California, where standardized test scores routinely rank the state near the bottom of the entire country, need to return to teaching the basics like math and reading instead of running social experiments on the children. These children will grow up to be our neighbors, employees/ers, teachers, and possibly future leaders.
Parents can still object to sex-ed, but often they do not know the content of the lessons. Hopefully, caring teachers will inform parents about the objectionable content of the videos and encourage the parents to pull their children from the presentations. If they are allowed to, teachers should even provide a small reward to those students who bring opt-out forms or have a contest to collect as many opt-out forms as possible; after all, the PTA's use similar bribery of children to get their parents' donations.

Many people are confused because the NEA calls itself an "Education Association." THE NEA IS A LABOR UNION! Teachers who want to belong to a Professional Education Association should consider joining the Association of American Educators (www.aaeteachers.org) instead of the Nation Education Association Union.
The NEA is the fundraising arm of the 'Party of Death'. And their Homosexual Caucus is behind much of the homosexual indoctrination that's taking place in the public schools. They have infiltrated our schools and churches for decades.
It is not just Catholics. We had a homosexual predator Priest in his 50's in Santa Rosa area, (Episcopalian) a few years ago.
Last year we hired a new Curate. I was not on the interviewing team, but I was asked by several friends on the team what to look for and how to avoid the potential problem that Santa Rosa had.
I said that if a candidate looked and sounded reasonably good, you had to ask him/her if they believe in God, Christ, and the Resurrection of Christ. If they hemmed or hauled or acted evasive, stop the interview at that moment and go to the next candidate. Then, I said that on all final candidates that we had to run a police check on where they grew up, went to high school, college and other areas. (that is now standard for our church before any new hires).
A couple of friends laughed at my first requirement that the candidates be a Christian. After a few candidates were interviewed and dropped because of that quesion, they stopped laughing. They could not believe that someone would spend all that time and money in seminary school and not believe in God and be a Christian. They now know there are a lot who are non believers who want to be Priests.
We found a great believer, family man and father as our Curate. He is a great priest will be a great Priest wherever he moves on to after he finishes his contract with us.

My mother attends a Congregational church where she is the librarian. She has decided to step down and leave the church after trying to bring in solid Christian books against the direction of church leadership. The "minister" is pro-abortion, doesn't believe in miracles and denies the virgin birth and resurrection of Christ. It makes me wonder where his hope lies. They now understand the wisdom in your above advice.

Internal NEA sources tell EIA that a class action lawsuit has been filed against the union and the insurance arm of its Member Benefits Corporation for failing to distribute a $17.3 million windfall to members who participated in the members-only insurance plan.
NEA offers perks through its Member Benefits Corporation that include credit cards, banking and mortgage services, and insurance. In December 2001, NEA held a group life insurance policy on behalf of some 400,000 members with the Prudential Insurance Company. That month, Prudential converted to a stockholders’ company, a process known as demutualization. It distributed shares of stock to all its policyholders, including some 600,000 shares to NEA that were valued at $17.3 million.
The lawsuit arose from the fact that NEA itself holds the policy, not the individual members who participate. The union therefore felt justified in keeping the Prudential stock proceeds for the Members Insurance Trust itself rather than go through the cumbersome process of distributing payments of less than $40 to each of the member participants. An unidentified member, on behalf of a class of all participants in the NEA insurance program as of December 2001, filed suit in U.S. District Court, seeking distribution of the money to the members.
That's $17.3 Million that the NEA wants to keep to fund their liberal agenda in the public schools. It's difficult to fight them when they have so much money.

Although Carter strongly condemned suicide bombings and criticized Arafat for not being more aggressive in ending the spate of violence against Israel, he roundly lambasted Ariel Sharon for actions and attitudes, past and present:
"His rejection of all peace agreements that included Israeli withdrawal from Arab lands, his invasion of Lebanon, his provocative visit to the Temple Mount, the destruction of villages and homes, the arrests of thousands of Palestinians and his open defiance of President George W. Bush’s demand that he comply with international law have all been orchestrated to accomplish his ultimate goals: to establish Israeli settlements as widely as possible throughout occupied territories and to deny Palestinians a cohesive political existence,” Carter said in a recent New York Times piece.
"It is time for the United States, as the sole recognized intermediary to consider more forceful actions for peace,” Carter added. "The rest of the world will welcome this leadership.”
U.S. Leverage Over Israel
Carter also said that U.S. aid of $10 million a day should give the U.S. some leverage over Israeli policy, noting that former president George H. Bush had threatened to cut off this assistance in 1992 to discourage the building of Israeli settlements between Jerusalem and Bethlehem.
Carter cited another factor that could accelerate Israel’s acceptance of Arab normalization with Israel in return for its withdrawal from territory captured in the 1967 Middle East war:
"One is the legal requirement that American weapons are to be used by Israel only for defensive purposes, a premise certainly being violated in the recent destruction in Jenin and other towns of the West Bank,” he said, noting this requirement was imposed by Richard Nixon to impede Israel’s military advance into Egypt during the 1973 Middle East war and ws used to deter Israeli attacks on Lebanon in 1979.
"I understand the extreme political sensitivity in America of using persuasion on the Israelis, but it is important to remember that none of the actions toward peace would involve an encroachment on the sovereign territory of Israel,” Carter acknowledged.

unusual scheme to transfer classified data that likely helped
Iran advance its nuclear weapons program, according to
New York Times reporter James Risen in his new book
"State of War."
Risen says the CIA used a double-agent Russian scientist to
hand over a blueprint for a nuclear bomb to Iran.
The White House plan actually was to derail the Iranian
program by passing on fatal flaws, says Risen, but the
deliberate errors were so rudimentary they would have been
easily fixed by Russian nuclear scientists, reported the
online Post Chronicle, which said the story was recounted
last night by radio host and former Justice official Mark
Levin.
Risen's book has been in the news for its revelations about
the Bush administration's controversial NSA domestic anti-
terror surveillance operation.
The Clinton operation, in early 2000, was code named
Operation Merlin and "may have been one of the most
reckless operations in the modern history of the CIA,"
Risen writes.
A defector from Russia was to offer Tehran the blueprint
for a "firing set," the sophisticated mechanism that
triggers a nuclear explosion.
CIA officers told the Russian the Iranians already had that
technology and the scheme was to find out the full extent
of Tehran's nuclear capability.
But the Russian inserted a note in the package indicating he
could help fix the flaws if he were paid the right price.
Iran's announcement Monday that it successfully has
enriched uranium was the third major development this year
on the way to producing an atomic bomb, leaving only one
more step.
That next development – metalizing the enriched uranium to
fit it into a warhead – could come as soon as four months
from now, says author Jerry Corsi, who has watched the
predictions in his book "Atomic Iran" unfold since it was
published one year ago.
In a nationally televised speech Monday, President Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad said that with the production of enriched
uranium, "I formally declare that Iran has joined the club
of nuclear countries."
The audience, which included top military commanders and
clerics, broke into cheers of "Allahu akbar!" or "Allah is
greatest!"
In January, Iran successfully tested a missile with solid
fuel, and last week, a U.S. official reported Iran now has
ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads.
Tehran has rejected a demand by the U.N. Security Council
to stop all uranium enrichment activity by April 28.

The world was on the brink of war. Germany and Japan had
already stirred up trouble in neighboring countries, and
other nations, such as the United States, feared entry into
the war. The idea of an atomic weapon had been presented,
and the US felt that the Allied Nations must gain the
power before the enemies.

In times of war, desperate measures lead to technological
breakthroughs. If a world war was not taking place at the
time, do you think that the atomic bomb would have been
invented so quickly? Do you think it would have ever even
been created?
By 27 June 1940, when British intelligence decided that
Germany was advancing rapidly in their nuclear research,
Roosevelt was determined to get the United States' own
project underway. He established several committees and
sought contracts with several American companies and
universities, including the Standard Oil Company, Columbia
University, Princeton University, the University of Chicago,
and the University of California.
Favorable results were deemed possible as a British report
stated the different ways a nuclear bomb could be
constructed, and that one could be constructed in as little
as two years, if full effort were put into the project. With
this, the American nuclear program was even more heavily
fueled, as the Office of Scientific Research and
Development was formed. The effort to build an atomic
bomb was then simply called "S-1".
A day before Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, Roosevelt
ordered S-1 to do everything possible to build an atomic
bomb. And still, all of this was happening in fear that
Germany would otherwise develop the bomb first.
By late 1942, the construction of a nuclear bomb seemed
nearing reality. On 2 December, Enrico Fermi-the physicist
leading the scientific research of the project-engineered
the first man-made nuclear chain reaction ever at the
University of Chicago. Such an experiment had never taken
place before, and the risks were very high. In fact,
conducting the experiment may not have been so clever, as
the official history of the Atomic Energy Commission
declared the decision to approve the experiment a "gamble
with a possibly catastrophic experiment in one of the most
densely populated areas of the nation." Luckily, Chicago did
not blow up and Fermi's calculations had been correct.
In the summer of 1942, Roosevelt handed the supervision
of the project, which would from then on be called the
Manhattan Project. Brigadier General Leslie Groves, who
had supervised the construction of the Pentagon, was placed
in charge of the project. Groves quickly set up the
necessary facilities to build the bomb. In Oak Ridge,
Tennessee, uranium-235 would be separated from the more
abundant isotope, uranium-238, at the Clinton Engineer
Works. At the Hanford Engineering Works (which now holds
most of the nation's nuclear waste), near Pasco,
Washington, plutonium was produced for the bomb that was
later to be dropped on Nagasaki. Finally, the design and
the development of the bombs themselves took place at a
facility in Los Alamos, New Mexico.
During the early part of the project, the United States and
Britain had worked independently on their own developments
of an atomic bomb. In June of 1942, though, the United
States and Britain joined forces and formed an atomic
alliance with each other. While the US would lead the
project, British scientists would have access to all of the
research and would be able to give a helping hand.
Several prominent Americans working on the project did not
recommend this alliance. Vannever Bush, chairman of the
National Defense Research Committee, warned Roosevelt
that this alliance "might well lead to extraordinary efforts
on the part of Russia to establish its own position in the
field secretly, and might lead to a clash, say 20 years from
now." The Soviet Union had not even been informed of the
construction of the atomic bomb into 1945.
As days to the completion of the bomb diminished, people
began wondering if the United States would actually use the
bombs. Roosevelt had planned to use the bombs without
consideration if an ultimatum, or demand, for immediate
surrender was not accepted. The Army had been planning an
wide scale invasion of Japan in hopes of bringing about
surrender; this invasion would result in an estimated one
million American casualties.
Meanwhile, Roosevelt's time as president was coming to an
end. His vice-president, Harry Truman, knew nothing of the
purpose of the Manhattan project. In fact, during the 82
days that Truman served as vice president, he only met
with Roosevelt twice, never discussing the atomic bomb. It
wasn't until Roosevelt died that Truman found out about the
project, at which time he supported the continuation, and
was confident that it would be successful.
And the project was successful. On the morning of 16 July
1945, the first atomic bomb, code-named TRINITY, was
exploded at a test site at Alamagordo Air Force Base in
New Mexico. Several witnesses were on hand for the
magnificent explosion. General Groves was amazed by the
blast reporting: an enormous fire ball as bright as several
midday suns, a mushroom cloud that extended 41,000 feet
into the sub-stratosphere, a tremendous crash that broke a
window 125 miles away, a crater 1,200 feet in diameter, a
crumpled forty-tone tower one-half mile from the
